Mechanical Drafter

Our client, Industrial & Manufacturing is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join their team. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be part of the Engineering & Maintenance support group, helping the team move from ideas to clear, build-ready documentation. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to produce accurate drafting work that supports safe, efficient operations.

Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
Pay Range: $25 - $28 / hr. on W2

What's the Job?

• Draft mechanical design options using computerized drawing software (AutoCAD), translating concepts into clear, accurate drawings.
• Compute cost estimates for design alternatives and document the design process to support decision-making.
• Assist with determining proper corrective action for damaged or worn equipment by reviewing breakdown history and collaborating with the operations team to identify the most cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee protection of physical assets and support facility maintenance and housekeeping to help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
• Participate in environmental audits and support compliance training with some supervision.

What's Needed?

• Primary focus on drafting responsibilities with strong accuracy and consistency in AutoCAD deliverables.
• Ability to compute and document cost estimates for design alternatives.
• Comfort collaborating with operations and management teams to support corrective actions, feasibility studies, and project needs.
• Experience or familiarity with facility maintenance support, asset protection, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
