Retinal Imaging Technician

Our client, a Health Services Organization delivering fully-integrated and coordinated eye care solutions, is seeking a Retinal Imaging Technician to join their team. As a Retinal Imaging Technician, you will be part of the field operations team supporting coordinated retinal screening services for diabetic patients. The ideal candidate will have strong patient communication skills, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team and on-site staff.

Job Title:Retinal Imaging Technician

Location: Northern Broward County, including Deerfield Beach, Margate, Tamarac, and Coral Springs.

Pay Range:$23

What's the Job?

• Capture retinal images of diabetic patients using an automatic digital camera.
• Educate patients and set appropriate expectations about the purpose and screening process.
• Upload and transmit patient images and reports through an online portal during or immediately after each screening.
• Travel to screening locations, perform screening preparation, and complete wrap-up duties as outlined.
• Collaborate with remote team members, management, and screening location staff to support smooth patient flow and continuous process improvement.

What's Needed?

• Associate degree or work history equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a healthcare professional environment with customer or patient interaction.
• Minimum of 1 year medical or eye care experience is preferred, or work history equivalent.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and staff, with excellent interpersonal skills and initiative.
• Reliable transportation to travel locally to screenings; willingness to travel to other Florida geographies overnight is desirable.
