Oracle Exadata Developer (Python/Hadoop)

Our client, Global Markets Technology is seeking an Oracle Exadata Developer (Python/Hadoop) to join their team. As a Oracle Exadata Developer (Python/Hadoop), you will be part of the Global Markets Technology organization supporting enterprise platform development and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle Exadata development experience, hands-on Python and PL/SQL/API development skills, and the confidence to collaborate with users while troubleshooting production issues.

Job Title: Oracle Exadata Developer (Python/Hadoop)

Location: Pennington, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range: $65-$68/hr 

What's the Job?

• Develop, maintain, and support Oracle Exadata / Python / Hadoop-based applications that power enterprise-wide trade and reference data used across credit risk, margin, regulatory compliance, client valuations, treasury, and finance.
• Contribute to design discussions with the development team, aligning solutions to team process, test-driven development practices, and source code control standards.
• Build and enhance Oracle performance analysis capabilities and deliver API development work using Python.
• Interact directly with users to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting the production system, ensuring timely and accurate problem resolution.
• Work collaboratively with the lead developer while also driving tasks independently with strong initiative and ownership.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 8+ years of experience (10+ preferred), including at least 5 years of Oracle Exadata development with Python in a financial institution environment.
• Strong PL/SQL coding skills and Oracle performance analysis expertise, with mandatory Python-based API development experience.
• Working experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop.
• Deep expertise in SDLC process adherence, including disciplined delivery practices and quality expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and stakeholder engagement experience, plus experience working with cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced environment.
