QA Automation Lead

Our client is seeking a QA Automation Lead to join their team. As a QA Automation Lead, you will be part of the QA organization supporting delivery teams across multiple releases. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and an analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving mindset that aligns successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support and contribute to test planning, test execution, and quality assurance activities across multiple releases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in designing, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and regression testing.
• Support functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing efforts.
• Assist with defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution validation.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and automation-first initiatives.
• Work within Agile/Scrum environments and participate in sprint activities.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of QA Automation experience.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Experience with Web Application Testing.
• Experience with API Testing using Postman, REST APIs, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with SQL and database validation/testing is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading testing efforts or mentoring junior QA team members.
• Exposure to automation framework development.
• Playwright experience.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore teams.
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure).

Ideal Candidate

Candidates with 3-7 years of QA Automation experience, strong automation skills, API testing experience, and exposure to modern testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress are encouraged to apply.
