Performance & Reliability Engineer

Our client, a technology-driven organization, is seeking a Performance & Reliability Engineer to join their team. As a Performance & Reliability Engineer, you will help ensure critical applications and services meet performance expectations through rigorous performance testing, deep monitoring, and practical reliability improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical problem-solving, clear communication, and a drive to embed performance engineering into the delivery lifecycle.

Pay Range:$45-50/HR 
 

What's the Job?

• Define and implement performance test strategies across critical applications and services, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Design, script, and execute performance tests using JMeter, applying Groovy/Beanshell/Java scripting where needed to customize test behavior.
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams to establish performance SLAs, KPIs, and baselines that guide measurable improvements.
• Configure, monitor, and analyze application and infrastructure metrics using AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk, including root cause analysis for bottlenecks.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, automate execution and results publishing, and manage performance regression checks.

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of technology experience with a strong focus on performance engineering and application performance monitoring.
• Hands-on performance testing expertise with JMeter, including scripting/customization using Groovy, Beanshell, and/or Java for extensions.
• Proficiency with AWS and cloud performance validation across services such as ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, and RDS.
• Experience with monitoring and APM tools including AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk, plus the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and tracking delivery work in JIRA (and qTest where applicable).
