Application Architect III

Our client, Financial Services is seeking a Application Architect III to join their team. As a Application Architect III, you will be part of the Infrastructure & Systems Engineering team supporting end-to-end server builds and application infrastructure fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have strong IT infrastructure architecture experience, excellent problem determination and resolution skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with business customers and vendors through strong interpersonal and business writing.

Pay Rate: $65-$70/hr 

What's the Job?

• Match current technology with current needs by evaluating and installing software, hardware, and support equipment into a workable network that supports multiple functions.
• Provide high-level systems support, including problem determination and resolution, and install or update newly developed software to assigned systems.
• Investigate and analyze information to draw conclusions; collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams (including networking) to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
• Write and maintain system documentation, and support capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security where necessary.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in projects related to end-to-end server builds; experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or DevOps Engineer is a plus.
• Strong IT Infrastructure knowledge across compute, storage, networking (LAN/WAN/Internet), security, and cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS).
• Experience with RDBMS systems such as Oracle and SQL, and middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, MQ, IIB, and/or Mulesoft.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows systems, VMware, and public cloud technologies (Azure & AWS).
• Strong CICD and DevOps experience using tools such as Ansible, YAML, Artifactory, Jenkins, Git, and related automation practices; Microsoft Visio experience is a plus.
