Bilingual Linguist (Spanish/English)

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Linguist (Spanish/English) to join their team. As a Bilingual Linguist (Spanish/English), you will be part of the Language Technology & Experience team supporting expert evaluation work that helps improve the linguistic quality of AI-generated chatbot responses, machine translation, and speech output. The ideal candidate will have strong linguistic judgment, the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and a commitment to consistent quality scoring and clear documentation.

Job Title:Bilingual Linguist (Spanish/English)

Location:Remote
20 hours per week

Pay Range: 35-45 per hour W2

What's the Job?

• Evaluate AI-generated chatbot responses for linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and alignment with defined terminology and style standards (expert evaluation work, not translation).
• Assess machine translation output for accuracy, fluency, and compliance with terminology and style.
• Review speech-to-text transcriptions and text-to-speech audio for quality, including clarity, naturalness, and correctness.
• Identify issues and provide corrected examples with professional justification to explain why an output should be improved.
• File structured quality tickets when systemic issues are found, using defined quality metrics and scoring (1–5 scale).

What's Needed?

• Native-level proficiency in Latin American Spanish (neutral Latin American Spanish as used across the region) AND professional English.
• Professional linguistic background in translation, localization, language services, or AI evaluation.
• Familiarity with consumer technology and products, including support content and terminology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining consistent scoring and documentation quality.
• Must have:  Mac computer running macOS 15 Sequoia or later (MacBook Pro 2018+, MacBook Air 2020+, iMac 2019+, Mac mini 2018+).
