Senior Python Developer / AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Runtime Platform

Our client, a technology organization building a GM GenAI platform, is seeking a Senior Python Developer / AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Runtime Platform to join their team. As a Senior Python Developer / AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Runtime Platform, you will support the platform across two areas: Agent Development and Agent Runtime. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, production-grade Python proficiency, and the drive to troubleshoot and improve systems in real-world environments.

Job Title:Senior Python Developer / AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Runtime Platform

Location:Jersey City, New Jersey

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr 

What's the Job?

• Develop, test, and maintain production-grade Python applications and services that support the GenAI platform.
• Build reliable, scalable components with strong application architecture, sound data structures, and robust error handling.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that move the platform forward.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to development standards, testing, automation, and efficient software delivery.

What's Needed?

• 7+ years of Python development experience with production-grade coding proficiency.
• Ability to write and explain code independently without AI assistance.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, error handling, and application architecture.
• Strong hands-on implementation and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
