Data Engineer

Our client, a high-tech organization focused on data and AI enablement, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the data and analytics organization supporting enterprise-wide data and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong system design thinking, hands-on data engineering expertise, and the communication skills to collaborate across engineering, data science, and business stakeholders—aligning successfully to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable data capabilities.

What's the Job?

• Design, build, and manage scalable AI and data platforms and pipelines that enable efficient data collection, processing, and analysis for business insights.
• Lead the development of modern data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines, as well as cloud-based analytics and machine learning data infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with semiconductor engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver dependable data systems that support enterprise needs.
• Apply deep expertise in data architecture, data integration, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices to improve the data ecosystem.
• Mentor team members, influence technical direction, and drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end data platform.

What's Needed?

• 8-10 years of experience in system design, database design, data modeling, and data architecture, preferably within the semiconductor industry or related high-tech sectors.
• Hands-on experience building enterprise software with AI coding tools (example: Cursor, Claude Code) and using ETL and data/warehousing/integration tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, NiFi, and Postgres.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• At least 5+ years of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP); Azure is preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code and CI/CD automation, plus experience collaborating with international teams, particularly in China and India.
