Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a delivery-focused environment supporting business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements that teams can deliver with confidence.

Duration: 2+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
pay Range: $42 - $46 / hr. on W2
Employment Type: W-2 Contract Only

What's the Job?
- Serve as a trusted bridge between business users and technical teams by communicating product requirements, business value, risks, impacts, and technology implications with clarity and transparency.
- Analyze and document requirements for payment banking-related projects, ensuring priorities are understood and aligned across stakeholders.
- Use SQL to support data analysis and provide insights that help teams make informed decisions.
- Work in an Agile environment by interacting with the Product Owner, refining the Product Backlog, and supporting the development team in clarifying backlog stories.
- Partner with the Scrum Master to support sprint planning and help ensure backlog items are ready for execution.
What's Needed?
- 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis, including mainframe background.
- Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Experience working on payment banking-related projects.
- Proven data analysis skills with strong SQL experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate requirements effectively and prioritize work in collaboration with Agile roles.
