Java Developer

Our client, an industry leader in technology solutions, is seeking a Java Developer to join their team. As a Java Developer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting a delivery team focused on building and enhancing complex, high-volume web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a quality-first mindset, and the drive to deliver reliable software that meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

Job Title:Java Developer

Location:Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr 

What's the Job?

• Develop and deliver complex software requirements that align to business goals, functional needs, non-functional expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Write production-ready code, create unit tests, and ensure solutions integrate cleanly into the broader application ecosystem using clear, robust, well-tested interfaces.
• Build and maintain web application capabilities using server-side frameworks such as Spring MVC and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to story refinement by helping define requirements and estimating work needed to realize stories through the delivery lifecycle.
• Support quality and reliability by contributing to integration, regression, and performance test suites—analyzing test reports, triaging root causes, and helping resolve technical complexities.

What's Needed?

• Experience working on high-volume applications, including server-side frameworks like Spring MVC.
• Strong experience with the Spring Framework: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Working knowledge of SOAP web services (XML and JSON) and experience building RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Handlebars, Vue, and ReactJS.
• Hands-on testing and tooling experience including JUnit for unit tests, Git for distributed version control, Maven, Artifactory, and an IDE such as Eclipse (or equivalent).
