Our client is seeking an API QA Lead to join their team. As an API QA Lead, you will be part of the Quality Engineering workstream supporting the modernization of the Costcos Global Membership Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong test strategy leadership, customer-facing governance, and defect and release readiness accountability which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Lead API Quality Engineering for migration-focused validation of up to 257 in-scope APIs and repositories across planned migration waves.
- Serve as the primary testing point of contact for Costco QE, architects, application teams, Apigee teams, platform teams, and the offshore QE team.
- Ensure testing stays aligned to agreed SOW boundaries, including API integration testing, API-level regression checks, and limited API performance testing.
- Own test governance: scope alignment, readiness reviews, defect governance, quality reporting, and production-readiness recommendations.
- Provide quality-based recommendations for migration-wave progression, including risk reviews, Go/No-Go discussions, and timely clarification coordination.
What's Needed?
- 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience, including API, integration, or cloud-modernization testing.
- Proven experience leading customer-facing QE governance for large, multi-team migration or transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, Azure, AKS, APIM or Apigee, CI/CD, and production-release governance.
- Knowledge of JWT, OAuth 2.0, Entra ID, RBAC, and API security validation.
- Experience defining API performance-test scope, NFRs, and readiness criteria is preferred; strong stakeholder management and analytical reporting skills are required.
