Quality Specialist

Our client is seeking a Quality Specialist to join their team. As a Quality Specialist, you will be part of the Contract Manufacturing Quality team supporting U.S. Nutrition & Health specification governance and finished product testing readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to data integrity, and the drive to improve quality workflows—aligning successfully in an environment where accuracy and compliance matter.

Pay Range: $35/hr - $37/hr

What's the Job?

  • Coordinate, track, and execute updates to finished product testing specifications for externally manufactured products, ensuring alignment with approved formulas and label claims.
  • Maintain specification update records through creation, routing, tracking, and closure in the applicable system of record, including change controls and intake requests.
  • Support specification compliance by maintaining a master tracker for U.S. Nutrition & Health contract manufacturing updates, including priority, owner, affected SKU/material, contract manufacturer, system status, and implementation date.
  • Partner with contract manufacturers to confirm feasibility, testing capability, method alignment, COA format, release criteria, and effective-date readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing dashboards, reports, and routines that increase visibility into overdue updates, compliance gaps, launch risks, and implementation bottlenecks.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience with specification management, quality systems, data maintenance, or release testing requirements in SAP, Veeva, PLM, TraceGains, or comparable systems.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the food, dietary supplement, medical nutrition, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or contract manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of U.S. regulatory and GxP requirements applicable to Nutrition & Health products, including 21 CFR Part 111, 21 CFR Part 117, HACCP, HARPC, and product release controls (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of specification lifecycle management, data integrity, change control, and document control, including dietary supplement or food quality system expectations.
  • High proficiency with Excel and the Office Suite, with the ability to manage trackers, dashboards, and structured data reviews; SAP/Veeva/PLM/TraceGains experience preferred.
