Tanium Platform Administrator

Our client, a mission-driven organization, is seeking a Tanium Platform Administrator to join their team. As a Tanium Platform Administrator , you will be part of the security engineering effort supporting endpoint security and software management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Tanium platform expertise, strong security and compliance mindset, and the ability to automate and operationalize enterprise workflows—aligning successfully in a fast-paced, security-focused environment.

Job Title: Tanium Platform Administrator 

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite 1–2 days). 

Pay Range:$55-60/hr on w2
 

What's the Job?

• Provide hands-on Tanium expertise across cleared and commercial enterprises, including managing Tanium clients on supported Windows, macOS, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems.
• Install, configure, operationalize, and maintain Tanium platform components; upgrade platform servers and modules according to documented upgrade paths.
• Orchestrate patch automation and vulnerability scanning to improve patch compliance and reduce endpoint exposure; perform configuration compliance assessments to support endpoint standardization and security best practices.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide software management and distribution services using scheduled deployments and specialized package content delivery via action deployments.
• Support threat analysis by monitoring endpoints for Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and conducting quarantine operations on compromised, non-compliant endpoints to reduce attack vectors.

What's Needed?

• Expert-level, hands-on Tanium experience, including operational management of the platform across Windows, macOS, Linux, AIX, and Solaris.
• Proven ability to install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Tanium platform servers and modules using documented upgrade paths.
• Experience with patch automation, vulnerability scanning, and configuration compliance assessments aligned to security frameworks and industry standards.
• Strong software management and distribution experience using scheduled deployments and action deployments, including package content delivery.
• Ability to build automation and workflows using Tanium REST API and scripting/custom content creation with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
