Our client is seeking a Senior Technology Governance & Portfolio Strategy to join their team. As a Senior Technology Governance & Portfolio Strategy, you will be part of a newly established function focused on improving governance, visibility, and risk management across a large and complex technology change portfolio. If you enjoy turning complex, cross-team technology plans into clear decision-ready insights, this role is built for you.

Job Title: Senior Technology Governance & Portfolio Strategy

Location: Charlotte, NC - 28202 (3 days a week in office required)

Pay Range: $75 - $85/hr on W2

What's the Job?

  • Help build and operationalize governance, operating models, and execution frameworks for a newly established technology change and investment portfolio function.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated “change radar” that brings together near-term and long-term technology initiatives, resiliency activities, data migrations, deployment schedules, and other major technology schedules.
  • Consolidate multiple schedules and sources of information into a single, integrated view of planned technology change.
  • Apply a risk and governance lens to identify conflicts, dependencies, and areas requiring leadership attention—especially where simultaneous activities could interact (e.g., application deployments overlapping with resiliency tests or data center migrations).
  • Create executive-level presentations, reporting, and decision-support materials that translate complex portfolio information into clear leadership insights.

What's Needed?

  • Experience building and operationalizing governance frameworks, operating models, and execution frameworks within large, complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to establish repeatable processes, manage ongoing operations, and drive execution in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Strong knowledge of technology change, portfolio governance, risk management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience creating executive communication and leadership reporting/decision-support materials.
  • Hands-on familiarity with generative AI tools (including Copilot and similar capabilities) to accelerate analysis, workflow development, process design, and business outcomes.

What's in it for me?

  • Own the “change radar” that helps leadership spot conflicts before they become problems—turning ambiguity into structured governance and actionable insight.
  • Build repeatable operating routines that move a new function from initial development into sustainable ongoing operations.
  • Partner across technology and business functions to influence stakeholders and drive execution through clear, risk-informed decisions.
  • Use advanced analysis and executive communication to help leadership understand what needs attention and why.
  • Leverage Copilot and similar AI tools to speed up analysis and process development while you focus on high-impact governance outcomes.

Upon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:
