The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality data collection, the ability to adapt study session plans based on feedback, and excellent customer service and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Confidently implement study session design to ensure optimal quality and efficiency of data collection.
  • Use Research Operations tools and follow established processes to conduct designated research activities.
  • Interface with participants in physical or virtual lab spaces and moderate sessions as part of qualitative and quantitative study protocols.
  • Support Participant Care by contacting potential participants, screening them, and/or scheduling sessions to encourage attendance and minimize no-shows.
  • Contribute to research operations and non-testing tasks such as administrative support, data coding, confidentiality document processing, lab and facilities maintenance, and tools/tech development testing (including gameplay and gameplay latency testing when needed).

What's Needed?

  • General knowledge and working experience with human observational research, experimental design, and questionnaire research.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt—identify opportunities to adjust through applied feedback and shift focus quickly when priorities change.
  • Outstanding customer service with excellent communication skills using phone, email, and electronic media.
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate in a team environment while also working independently.
  • General knowledge and interest in popular computer and video games and game culture; BA/BS in Psychology (cognitive, experimental, or social), HCI/HFE, or experience in Human Factors or User Research is preferred, but not required.
