Hardware Engineer

Our client is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the hardware engineering organization supporting the design and delivery of silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for core switching, routing, and wireless products. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills, a solid foundation in high-speed signal design using SerDes/serial transmission technologies, and the ability to use electrical diagnostics and measurement equipment effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support hardware board circuit and system design activities, including development, validation, and iterative improvements.
• Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis to identify root causes and drive corrective actions across hardware systems.
• Design and evaluate high-speed signal paths using SerDes/serial transmission technologies to meet performance targets.
• Use electrical diagnostics and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and network traffic generators such as Ixia and Spirent) to characterize and debug hardware behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate test findings into actionable engineering recommendations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related degree.
• Experience in hardware board circuit and system design, troubleshooting, or failure analysis.
• Experience designing for high-speed signals using SerDes/serial transmission technologies.
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and network traffic generators such as Ixia and Spirent.
• Familiarity with Python, PERL, or similar scripting and execution languages.
