Sales Analyst – Walmart Essential Home

Our client, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is seeking a Sales Analyst – Walmart Essential Home to join their team. As a Sales Analyst – Walmart Essential Home, you will be part of the Analytics & Sales Support team supporting Sales Leadership and Account Management teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations, and a drive to improve forecasting accuracy which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Maintain and enhance weekly sales reporting and business performance dashboards to help the team stay ahead of performance trends.
• Refresh and analyze trend reports, modular performance reports, and sales tracking tools to uncover what’s working and what needs attention.
• Deliver actionable insights on category, brand, item, and retailer performance, including POS performance monitoring to identify risks and opportunities early.
• Support weekly and monthly forecasting by analyzing sales trends, recommending forecast adjustments, and tracking performance against forecasts and business objectives.
• Analyze promotional events and retail execution (including displays, rollbacks, Walmart Cash, and Ibotta programs), measuring sales lift and ROI while recommending improvements for future programs.

What's Needed?

• 1–3+ years of experience in sales analysis, category management, customer analytics, business analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on turning data into practical business recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present insights to Sales Leadership and key account managers.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
