Python Developer

Our client, Financial Services is seeking a Python Developer to join their team. As a Python Developer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting Front Office application development. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and REST API development experience, the ability to build modern user interfaces with ReactJS, and a track record of working with domain-specific data analysis in banking and global markets.

What's the Job?

• Develop and enhance Senior-level Python services and applications, with a focus on object-oriented programming and maintainable code.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and full-stack solutions, leveraging ReactJS for responsive, user-focused front-end experiences.
• Support Front Office applications in banking services, with strong attention to fixed income domain concepts when applicable.
• Perform quantitative research and development using domain-specific data analysis to inform risk, pricing, and market-related workflows.
• Contribute to risk and pricing application development, including optional exposure to trade surveillance and market misconduct concepts in global markets.

What's Needed?

• Python experience is required, including 10+ years of hands-on programming in an object-oriented language (preferably Python).
• 7+ years of experience as a senior developer on Front Office applications in banking services.
• 7+ years of experience as a quantitative researcher and developer, with the ability to work with domain-specific data analysis.
• 7+ years of experience in risk and pricing application development (experience in this area is a plus).
• 7+ years of experience with REST, ReactJS, or FullStack development, plus experience working with object databases and relational databases.
