Sr. QA Automation Engineer - CO

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineering IV- to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Engineering IV-, you will be part of the Quality Engineering organization supporting delivery teams across multiple applications and development environments. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on quality mindset, strong test strategy and automation experience, and the ability to collaborate and mentor others to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Location:Greenwood Village, CO (100% Onsite, 5 days a week)

Position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

Pay rate $55- $59/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Drive shift-left quality by ensuring quality gates validate intended behavior and by treating successful pipeline execution as a key indicator of feature readiness.
• Develop and maintain automated quality solutions that improve confidence in releases through transparent reporting, actionable artifacts, and clear feedback loops in Azure DevOps.
• Build and sustain cloud test data independence by creating self-contained test data within automated suites that are not dependent on on-premise data generation.
• Map automated tests to User Journeys and System Journeys to improve traceability, visibility, and alignment between requirements and validation.
• Support component isolation in development by implementing validation strategies that reduce dependency-related failures using mocks, stubs, and virtualization.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or related technical roles.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices, including test strategy development, test execution, defect management, and quality reporting.
• Experience supporting multiple applications, platforms, and development environments.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and quality stakeholders to translate requirements into meaningful automated validation.
