Our client is seeking a Datacenter Technician to join their team. As a Datacenter Technician, you will be part of the on-site operations team supporting liquid-cooled, next-generation AI rack infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on DLC experience, strong datacenter hardware troubleshooting skills, and a safety-first mindset that keeps production workloads running reliably.

Duration: 12+ month with highly possible extension / conversion
Pay Range: $50 - $53 / hr. on w2
What's the Job?
- Operate, monitor, and maintain Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) infrastructure, including Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), flow rate management, temperature setpoints, and alarm response.
- Perform tray-level service and physical maintenance for AMD Helios-class rack-scale AI infrastructure, including compute and switch trays, firmware cycling, and high-density cabling.
- Install, replace, and pressure-test blind-mate quick-disconnect (QD) connectors while following site EHS protocols and maintaining rack cooling continuity.
- Support high-density rack power and thermal readiness up to 246 kW per rack by conducting rack-level thermal assessments and contributing to coolant quality monitoring (pH, conductivity, biocide levels).
- Use BMC/Redfish/IPMI tools to monitor hardware health, review event logs, execute approved firmware update workflows, and validate compute readiness with ROCm-based diagnostics.
What's Needed?
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) systems in production datacenter environments, including CDU operation and coolant loop maintenance.
- 4+ years of experience installing and servicing enterprise server hardware at the component level (CPU, DIMM, GPU, storage, NIC) with strong break/fix troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated experience with high-density rack platforms (20 kW/rack or greater), including cabling, power distribution, and liquid-cooling integration.
- Proven ability to follow and enforce LOTO, EHS, and physical security procedures in a critical facility environment.
- Familiarity with out-of-band server management tools (BMC, IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC/iLO or equivalent) and high-speed networking optics (QSFP-DD/OSFP, DAC/AOC) including link validation.
