Our client, a leader in Transfusion Medicine product development, is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join their team. As an Associate Scientist I, you will support the testing and evaluation of new Transfusion Medicine products in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), a drive to follow protocols with precision, and the motivation to learn quickly in a fast-paced, regulated setting—all while contributing data that supports regulatory submissions and FDA approval processes.
Title: Associate Scientist I
Location: Abbott Park, Illinois
Duration: 12+ Month contract
Pay Range: $24/hr. - $28/hr.
Must be flexible to work 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
Shift assignments may change with two weeks' notice.
Saturday required 1-2 times per month: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
What's the Job?
- Perform laboratory testing of new Transfusion Medicine products, assays, and instrumentation.
- Execute studies according to established protocols and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.
- Generate, document, and maintain accurate study data and records.
- Support data collection activities for FDA regulatory submissions.
- Complete laboratory documentation and reporting with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required.
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates will also be considered.
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow protocols and maintain accurate records.
