Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be part of the IT organization supporting end-users in a high-touch, executive-level setting. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer communication, confident troubleshooting, and a service-first mindset that aligns successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Provide software and hardware support for end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving service-related issues to prevent escalation.
  • Configure, install, and test hardware components, and support hardware deployment replacements in a banking environment.
  • Support virtual/desktop/laptop management and infrastructure applications, including VDI, patch management, encryption technologies, and anti-virus.
  • Back up, recover, and reimage user devices both remotely and onsite at the user’s desk; validate correct software versions and confirm functionality.
  • Manage and document incidents and requests using ServiceNow (or similar ticketing systems), including cross-divisional troubleshooting through accurate ticket updates and work order documentation.

What's Needed?

  • 3–5 years of experience providing software/hardware support, server support, and Cisco technology knowledge in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting and supporting MS Office applications, including MS Teams, Outlook, and Windows OS (WinOS).
  • Experience assisting with administration of Virtual/Desktop/Laptop Management and infrastructure applications, including VDI, patch management, encryption technologies, anti-virus, and incident/request management.
  • Previous experience working in ServiceNow (a plus) or a similar ticketing system.
  • Knowledge of two-factor authentication; strong customer communication and service skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
