Chemist

Our client is seeking a Chemist to join their team. As a Chemist, you will be part of the Quality Control (QC) and Product Characterization group supporting lab-based testing and stability study execution. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, clear communication, and an optimization mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Perform physicochemical characterization of haircare and cosmetic products following defined protocols and quality criteria.
• Conduct pH, viscosity, rheology, microscopy, appearance, and foam behavior testing to support product evaluation and quality decisions.
• Execute stability studies (including temperature cycling, centrifugation, freeze-thaw, and long-term monitoring) and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain full traceability from sample intake through data delivery, ensuring clean documentation and version control.
• Update stability records and databases, flag anomalies or trends, and propose workflow improvements to increase testing efficiency and data handling quality.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience, or a QC/Physical Measurements certification/diploma.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in cosmetic characterization or a closely related field such as personal care, food science, chemical product evaluation, or pharmaceutical/quality QC.
• Strong math/science foundation with methodical, organized testing and documentation habits.
• Rigor and critical thinking skills for analyzing results and producing clear, accurate reports.
• Comfort working with instruments, SOPs, and new techniques while maintaining data accuracy and traceability.
