Engineering Technician

Our client is seeking a Engineering Technician to join their team. As a Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Operations team supporting prototype development and test activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a hands-on troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to follow technical documentation to ensure accurate test results.

What's the Job?

• Support engineering activities including design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment.
• Perform testing and checkout using schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and defined plans to complete test, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, and assist in identifying methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Assist in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment used for development and diagnostics.
• Use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment (including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus) to execute test programs for analog, digital, and/or video circuits and logic systems.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of experience supporting engineering test, checkout, and troubleshooting activities for electro-mechanical systems and/or electronic circuitry.
• Experience working from technical documentation such as schematics, diagrams, and defined test plans.
• Ability to perform operational testing and fault isolation, and to support corrective actions for malfunctions.
• Hands-on experience using test and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Comfort assisting with the build and check-out of test equipment used in development and diagnostic workflows.
