Software Verification and Validation Engineer

Our client, a regulated medical technology organization is seeking a Engineer, Software Quality to join their team. As a Engineer, you will be part of the Quality organization supporting the Heart Failure Division. The ideal candidate will have strong quality and process improvement mindset, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a commitment to compliance in regulated environments which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software V&V Engineer

Location: Onsite at Pleasanton, CA

Duration: 12 Months contract with possible extension

Pay Range: $51/hr w2

What's the Job?

• Support software verification & validation (V&V) activities, including test protocols, plans, and reports, as well as non-product software assessment.
• Support product cybersecurity assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Review software and system documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain requirements traceability and support SDLC processes.
• Perform risk assessments (FMEA, hazard analysis) and drive issue resolution.

What's Needed?

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality, validation, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in audit settings preferred.
