Our client, a technology organization supporting enterprise case management and workflow automation, is seeking a Lead Pega Developer to join their team. As a Lead Pega Developer, you will be part of the TCOO organization supporting multiple internal applications. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on engineering mindset, strong Pega case management expertise, and the ability to lead through code by example—aligning successfully in the organization.

Location:Charlotte, NC (CIC) / Irving, TX / Chandler, AZ
Pay Range: 65-70/hr.
What's the Job?
- Backfill a hands-on Lead Pega role for an 18-month contract with potential to extend or convert.
- Develop and enhance Pega applications used for workflow automation across 14 supported internal apps, typically assigned to up to 2 at a time.
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalations.
- Build and troubleshoot system integrations using REST/SOAP services, connectors and services, and Pega integration patterns (sync/async, queue processors).
- Provide technical mentorship through code reviews, guidance, and best-practice enforcement—while actively coding daily.
What's Needed?
- 8+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Pega engineering experience, with strong expertise in Pega Case Management.
- Proven experience with system integration (REST API) and integration troubleshooting/performance support.
- Strong understanding of Pega rules and workflow/decisioning concepts (e.g., flow rules, decision tables, data pages) plus performance tuning and issue resolution.
- Ability to lead development through hands-on coding and mentoring (not just coordination or oversight).
