Publishing Operations Associate

Our client, Manufacturing, Operations, & Collected Editions is seeking a Publishing Operations Associate to join their team. As a Publishing Operations Associate, you will be part of the DC Manufacturing, Operations, & Collected Editions supporting product metadata operations. The ideal candidate will have strong database upkeep experience, a solid foundation in comic publishing, and advanced Excel skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Publishing Operations Associate
Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 7+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
Pay Range: $27 - $31 / hr. on W2

What's the Job?

• Work with the Data Asset Manager to create series and items in Microsoft Business Central, clean and update historical records, test system enhancements, and report system bugs.
• Update product metadata based on incoming requests and established business practices.
• Update corresponding metadata in external systems to keep product information accurate and consistent.
• Review original materials’ covers for correct information on InSite.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support day-to-day publishing operations.

What's Needed?

• Previous work experience in Data Management or Data Upkeep (3+ years), with the ability and comfort to maintain databases.
• Comic publishing knowledge (3+ years), including familiarity with the comic industry (comic publishing and retail).
• Excel expertise (3+ years), including experience using Excel formulas and formatting to analyze data (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Charts, and related functions).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage large volumes of detailed work.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully in both verbal and written form with individuals at all levels of the organization.
