Laboratory Technician (General) 3

Our client, Engineering & Validation is seeking a Laboratory Technician (General) 3 to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician (General) 3, you will be part of the Post-Silicon Validation Lab team supporting day-to-day lab operations, system provisioning, and hands-on troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have strong Windows and Linux troubleshooting skills, experience working with rack-based lab infrastructure, and a passion for hands-on lab ownership that keeps complex validation environments running smoothly.

What's the Job?

• Own the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of post-silicon validation labs, ensuring systems are ready for execution.
• Provision, configure, and support Windows and Linux systems used for validation and automation, including OS and driver maintenance.
• Support platform bring-up and maintenance activities such as BIOS, firmware, driver, and operating system updates.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot validation infrastructure including test platforms, instrumentation, thermal equipment, networking, racks, power distribution, and automation systems.
• Perform hands-on triage and debug of Windows administration and networking issues, as well as Linux issues, including identifying execution issues or crashes and coordinating recovery with engineering owners.

What's Needed?

• 3–5 years of experience preferred in lab operations, system administration, post-silicon validation, platform engineering, or hardware validation.
• Strong proficiency with Windows and solid Linux experience (Linux experience is highly desired).
• Hands-on experience with rack systems and lab infrastructure, including PDUs, thermal equipment, socket-level equipment, and thermal chillers.
• Experience performing BIOS flashing and key provisioning steps, plus updating OS and graphics drivers.
• Ability to build, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot lab infrastructure; familiarity with data acquisition and light automation support (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus.
