DevOps Engineer

Our client, a technology organization is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the engineering organization supporting delivery teams responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining reliable platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, proven DevOps and CI/CD automation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.

Location:Hybrid onsite Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr 

What's the Job?

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift Containers and related platform components across multiple releases.
• Support and administer WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments, including build, deployment planning, and operational readiness.
• Apply industry-accepted DevOps practices to develop, monitor, and support applications according to design documentation.
• Help implement solutions into production environments using Agile methodology and continuous delivery principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable builds, deployments, and environment setup end-to-end.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms, including architecture, configuration, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and end-to-end environment setup.
• Hands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience using tools such as Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, Generative AI solutions, or similar AI-powered development and productivity platforms.
• Strong development experience with Java/J2EE technologies, including designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with development and monitoring tools such as Eclipse and Splunk, plus code quality and static analysis tools like SonarQube and Crucible.
