Lead Agentic AI Engineer

Our client, Consumer Intelligent Automation & AI is seeking a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their team. As a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent, you will be part of the Agentic Engineering group supporting enterprise-grade AI products. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to build agentic automated applications, hands-on experience designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-moving engineering pod to deliver secure, scalable outcomes.

Location:Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX

Pay Range: 65-70/hr

What's the Job?

• Discover, design, develop, test, and deploy sophisticated agentic automation applications that support consumer lending across the organization.
• Lead moderately complex initiatives within an engineering pod, translating architectural designs into robust, scalable, and secure software.
• Build and integrate Generative AI capabilities using enterprise APIs, LLMs, agent frameworks, and related technologies.
• Implement AI engineering patterns such as prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and agentic design patterns.
• Troubleshoot complex application and model-related issues while contributing to continuous improvement of AI systems.

What's Needed?

• 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education).
• 2+ years of experience working with Generative AI, large language models, or foundation models.
• 2+ years of experience with either GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• 2+ years of experience with Python and 2+ years of REST API development and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years of experience using Git for source code version control, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.
