Our client is seeking a Workday Payroll & Time Tracking Consultant to provide immediate support for a critical Workday HCM team during a 60-day engagement. This role will serve as the functional subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, supporting day-to-day operations, system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have deep Workday Payroll and Time Tracking expertise, strong stakeholder-facing skills, and the ability to partner effectively with HR, Payroll, and business teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions.

What’s the Job?
- Provide functional expertise and support for Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, including configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing system enhancements.
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze issues, and deliver effective Workday solutions.
- Configure, test, validate, and resolve Payroll and Time Tracking functionality while ensuring data accuracy and business process alignment.
- Support payroll operations, data validation, reporting, production support activities, and system optimization efforts.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, participate in testing and project activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Workday HCM initiatives.
What’s Needed?
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking in enterprise Workday HCM environments.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve functional issues while supporting Payroll and HR operations.
- Experience with Workday HCM business processes, reporting, configuration, testing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to interact directly with HR, Payroll, and business leaders.
- Preferred experience with Workday Security, Workday Integrations, Performance Management, Workday Help/Case Management, and additional Workday functional modules.
- 5+ years of Workday HCM experience with deep specialization in Payroll and Time Tracking.
- U.S.-based consultants preferred; nearshore candidates considered if able to support Eastern or Central Time Zone business hours.
- Immediate availability highly preferred.
