AML Developer

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an AML Developer to join their team. As an AML Developer, you will be part of the AML Transformation Program supporting a team focused on building and enhancing transaction monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAS AML development experience, strong Base SAS and SQL skills, and the ability to translate AML business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and enhance AML detection scenarios within the SAS AML 7.1 / 7.2 platform.
• Build and maintain customer segmentation models and risk-based monitoring logic.
• Develop and modify AML prep jobs, datasets, and data processing workflows.
• Configure and tune transaction monitoring scenarios, rules, thresholds, and risk scoring logic.
• Support unit testing, SIT/UAT activities, defect resolution, and production readiness through deployment and production implementation activities through June 2027.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience with SAS AML (Version 7.1 or 7.2).
• Strong experience building and customizing AML scenarios.
• Expertise in Base SAS programming.
• Strong SQL and Oracle Database experience.
• Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and a solid understanding of AML transaction monitoring, suspicious activity detection, and regulatory compliance requirements.
