Senior Insurance Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Insurance Business Analyst, you will be part of the Insurance and Actuarial Transformation organization supporting Retail Life Insurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical problem-solving skills, proven stakeholder management experience, and the ability to translate complex insurance and actuarial needs into clear business and functional requirements which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Retail Life Insurance products and actuarial processes.
• Collaborate with actuarial, product, underwriting, policy administration, and IT teams to define business solutions and drive system enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support product development and actuarial initiatives including pricing, valuation, reserve calculations, and regulatory reporting.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, UAT sessions, and support testing by developing test scenarios and validating business outcomes.

What's Needed?

• Strong experience in Retail Life Insurance with in-depth knowledge of Term Life, Whole Life (WL), Universal Life (UL), and Variable Universal Life (VUL).
• Actuarial domain expertise including pricing and product development, reserves and statutory reporting, and mortality and lapse assumptions.
• Experience working with actuarial teams and actuarial calculations, including risk analysis and profitability studies.
• Business analysis skills including requirement gathering and elicitation, BRD/FRD development, user stories and use cases, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies, plus strong stakeholder management and documentation skills.
