Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Architect

Our client, Enterprise Technology & Security organization is seeking a Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Architect to join their team. As a Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Architect, you will be part of the Security Architecture & Governance team supporting enterprise engineering and compliance stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder communication, a self-driven problem-solving mindset, and the ability to translate complex security requirements into scalable Microsoft 365 architecture that aligns with enterprise standards.

Job Title:Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Architect

Location:Onsite required in Addison, TX

Pay Range: $75-$80/hr 

What's the Job?

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, governance, and risk management solutions across the enterprise.
• Define and maintain security and compliance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and industry best practices.
• Architect cloud-based productivity solutions with a focus on data protection, information governance, identity security, regulatory compliance, automation, scalability, and resiliency.
• Provide architectural leadership for Microsoft 365 services, including security controls, compliance capabilities, monitoring, audit readiness, and governance processes.
• Partner with Cyber Security, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Technology teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise security and regulatory requirements.

What's Needed?

• College degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 10+ years of experience with architecture and engineering across email services.
• Expert-level knowledge of collaboration services (cloud and on-premise) and cross-platform Directory solutions, including Conditional Access and Identity & Access Management.
• Expert-level knowledge of Security/Compliance and Data Loss Prevention, including data classification and deployment/configuration/admin responsibilities.
• Strong architecture documentation skills (including network/data flows and test scope), excellent verbal and written communication, and experience with ITIL foundational and Agile process methodologies.
