Senior Java Developer

Our client, technology solutions organization is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of the software engineering organization supporting delivery teams focused on building and maintaining complex, high-volume applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to translate business objectives into reliable, scalable Java solutions.

Location:Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)

What's the Job?

• Provide Sr. Java Developer technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions across the full software lifecycle.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
• Ensure coding practices and software quality comply with established software development standards.
• Lead efforts to build and maintain server-side applications using Spring MVC and the broader Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Support performance tuning and reliability improvements with a strong understanding of JVM internals and distributed system behavior.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with multiple software implementations.
• Experience with Spring MVC and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Strong understanding of SOAP web services and related standards, including REST/JSON; experience building RESTful web services.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as Handlebars, Foundation, and ReactJS.
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit, plus XML/JSON binding libraries such as JAXB, Jackson, or Gson.
