Critical Facilities Manager

Our client, mission-critical infrastructure and facilities operations organization is seeking a Critical Facilities Manager to join their team.

As a Critical Facilities Manager, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting high-availability business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong ownership and accountability, the ability to lead technical teams, and a proactive mindset for risk management and continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Critical Facilities Manager

Location: Odessa, TX (100% onsite)

Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000, based on experience

What's the Job?

• Manage the overall operation, maintenance, reliability, and performance of mission-critical infrastructure to maximize uptime and operational excellence.
• Oversee day-to-day systems including electrical distribution, UPS and battery plants, standby generators, HVAC/cooling, BMS, fire/life safety, and security/access control.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, coordinate vendors and contractors, and drive root-cause analysis after incidents or outages.
• Provide leadership for a team of 5–10 engineers and technicians, including staffing, on-call rotations, training, performance evaluations, and development.
• Serve as the primary escalation point during critical events, coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts, and maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• 10+ years of experience managing critical facilities, data centers, industrial plants, or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems, UPS systems and generators, HVAC/chilled water systems, building automation, and fire/life safety systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and coordinating maintenance programs and vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
