Sr. Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer

Our client, a technology organization supporting credential security and identity access systems, is seeking a Senior Golang Developer to join their team. As a Senior Golang Developer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting the SCV and Vault squad. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, a security-first mindset, and the drive to deliver reliable integrations in a regulated environment—aligning successfully with the team’s goals.

Job Title: Golang / Hashi Corp Vault Engineer

Location: Remote, USA

What's the Job?

• Maintain, develop, test, support, and enhance applications and services used by the credential platform.
• Build HashiCorp Vault capabilities that replace features currently supported by SCV.
• Develop new integrations and plugins and onboard tools into the Morgan Stanley ecosystem.
• Support non-human credential storage in a manner compliant with relevant IAM policy.
• Perform development, engineering, operational, automation, and DevOps tasks while following architectural standards and product guidelines.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of hands-on Golang experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming concepts and the ability to design robust, scalable software solutions.
• Strong hands-on HashiCorp Vault experience, including authentication backends, secret engines, and plugin development.
• Experience working with at least one public cloud provider: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Ability to support production applications and troubleshoot technical issues, with an understanding of IAM policy, least-privilege access, and secure credential handling.
