Scientific Lab Manager

Our client, Analytical Development is seeking a Lab Manager to join their team. As a Scientist, you will be part of the Analytical Development (AD) group supporting lab operations and biologics assay execution. The ideal candidate will have strong lab safety awareness, a detail-oriented approach to documentation, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize potency assays, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Execute functional potency bioassays in support of Analytical Development activities, including routine assay execution and data collection.
• Perform potency testing using ELISA, other plate-based platforms, and flow cytometry as needed.
• Support biologics-related AD workstreams through consistent assay performance and accurate raw-data tracking.
• Assist with assay troubleshooting, optimization, and performance trending under manager guidance.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in electronic lab notebooks and test forms, and support routine management of assay reagents, consumables, and laboratory materials as needed.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry or regulated-laboratory experience preferred; candidates with a master’s degree and 0–2+ years of industry experience may also be considered.
• Preferred experience in the cell and gene therapy space.
• Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems.
• Experience using a variety of biology lab equipment (e.g., multi-channel pipettes, centrifuge, microscope, plate reader, plate washer, flow cytometer), plus strong organizational habits.
