We’re looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to support an Employment Litigation Team and Legal Department Leadership in a professional corporate environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with law firm or corporate legal experience who is comfortable handling confidential information, supporting senior leaders, managing calendars, preparing reports, and coordinating multiple priorities.
Pay : $20-22/hr
Location: Mooresville, NC – SSC
Work Model: Full-Time | 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Assignment: 12 Weeks
What You'll Do
Legal & Litigation Support
- Provide administrative support to the Employment Litigation Team.
- Manage the legal group mailbox and serve as an intake point for employment litigation matters.
- Maintain legal documents and information within matter/document management systems.
- Generate reports using system query tools.
- Support Legal Operations and departmental processes.
Reporting & Operations
- Process and track legal invoices using billing and payable systems.
- Assist with legal spend reporting, budgets, expenses, and projections.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, presentations, charts, and graphs.
- Conduct research and assist with day-to-day operational needs.
📅 Leadership & Executive Support
- Manage calendars for one or more Legal Department leaders.
- Coordinate meetings and ensure leaders have necessary materials.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, documents, and communications.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support to up to two Vice Presidents within the Legal Department.
Confidentiality & Organization
- Handle sensitive legal and business information with a high degree of discretion.
- Maintain organized systems for securing and managing confidential documents.
- Coordinate special events, meetings, logistics, catering, and supplies.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
🎯 What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience supporting legal professionals in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Experience with document management, matter management, billing, or reporting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree.
- North Carolina Notary Public Certification.
- Experience supporting attorneys, legal executives, or Vice Presidents.
- Experience with legal operations, litigation support, legal billing, or legal spend management.
