Sr. Procurement Specialist

Our client, a medical device manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist / Procurement Sourcing Specialist/Analyst to join their Strategic Procurement team. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will support strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist 

Location: Sylmar, CA – 100% onsite

What’s the Job?

• Lead multiple procurement and supply chain projects, including supplier risk mitigation and resilience initiatives.
• Analyze RFQs, RFPs, bids, and supplier quotes to identify the best total-cost solutions.
• Source and evaluate mechanical and electrical suppliers and lead pricing/contract negotiations.
• Track project milestones, procurement timelines, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to ensure supplier compliance and mitigate risks.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, engineering, or technical project management.
• Strong experience with supplier management, sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and cost analysis.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data analysis/visualization skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and project management skills; medical device or highly regulated industry experience is preferred.
