Sponsored Content Strategist

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and content marketing sector, is seeking a Sponsored Content Strategist to join their team. As a Sponsored Content Strategist, you will be part of the Content Marketing Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Sponsored Content Strategist

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $60-65/hr 

What's the Job?

• Lead 1-2 major sponsored programs at a time, along with 2-3 smaller projects, from concept through publication and promotion.
• Collaborate with analyst firms and research partners on commissioned studies, surveys, and analyst-authored assets, shaping research questions and framing findings to support our narrative.
• Manage relationships with trade publications, ensuring content aligns with their standards and audience expectations.
• Shape and provide substantive editorial feedback on drafts, outlines, and creative concepts to ensure alignment with program goals and messaging.
• Extend research studies into comprehensive asset families, including articles, webinars, briefs, infographics, and more, maximizing content value.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or sponsored/branded content, ideally within B2B environments.
• Experience working with analyst firms and research partners on co-created content.
• Familiarity with trade publications and media partners, including sponsored content programs and webinars.
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to give clear, substantive feedback.
• Proficiency with AI tools for research synthesis, audience testing, differentiation, and fact verification.
