Our banking client is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join their Financial Crimes team. As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the Analytics organization supporting enterprise reporting, controls, documentation, and data/change governance. The ideal candidate will have strong accountability for governed analytics, the ability to independently challenge model assumptions, and a collaborative mindset to consult with client personnel on complex, multi-faceted initiatives.

Job Title: Data Analyst 

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (hybrid) OR Minneapolis, MN

Pay Range: $52-54/hr W2
(due to client rules we are unable to work with 3rd party subcontractors; all candidates must be able to work on Experis' W2 directly)
 

What's the Job?

• Consult on complex analytics initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning, including longer-term challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted analytics challenges, considering intangibles or unprecedented factors to support deliverables.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations by applying a solid understanding of analytics function policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel to align analytics outcomes with governance, controls, and documentation expectations.
• Support data governance and analytics change management through reporting, controls, and documentation practices that support audit readiness.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of analytics experience.
• Banking industry experience is required.
• Demonstrated accountability for analytical or quantitative models across implementation, maintenance, and controlled change processes.
• Experience operating within governed environments requiring formal documentation, controls, and audit readiness.
• Proficiency performing data analysis and validation using SQL in Teradata environments, including the ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends, issues, and insights.
• Strong capability to monitor, validate, and report on data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) and conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues.
