Our client, a leading organization in the technology and communications industry, is seeking a Major Incident Manager to join their team. As a Major Incident Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting incident response and problem resolution teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing high-severity incidents, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Major Incident Manager
Location: Texas (On-site preferred; remote work within North America possible)
Pay Range: $40/hr
What's the Job?
- Lead real-time incident management for critical services, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Coordinate cross-team efforts during major incidents, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage incident bridges, providing clear updates and structured resolution pathways.
- Perform initial technical triage utilizing knowledge of virtualization, cloud, Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, and networking.
- Drive root cause analysis and ensure follow-up actions are tracked and completed to prevent recurrence.
What's Needed?
- Hands-on experience in Incident Management and Problem Management operations.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and bridge handling skills.
- Experience with ITSM tools, preferably ServiceNow.
- Basic understanding of Cloud Architecture, Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, and networking concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
