Sr. Buyer

Our client, a leader in medical device manufacturing, is seeking a Buyer, Senior to join their team. As a Buyer, Senior, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting Manufacturing and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Buyer

Location: Pleasanton, CA (100% On-Site)

Pay Range: $41/hr. - $45/hr.

Duration: 5+ Month contract with potential to extend

Shift: 8AM - 5PM

What's the Job?

• Manage procurement activities for direct materials, components, assemblies, and indirect goods/services supporting medical device manufacturing.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, long-term agreements, and supplier terms and conditions.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively address supply chain risks or shortages.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience managing direct materials and contract manufacturers.
• Strong understanding of FDA-regulated manufacturing environments and supplier quality requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or JD Edwards.
