Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a dedicated Senior Autonomous Vehicle Perception Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Autonomous Vehicle Perception Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting the perception and sensor integration teams.

What's the Job?

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, camera, and sensor fusion applications across autonomous platforms.
• Architect real-time C++ processing pipelines for object detection, classification, tracking, and sensor fusion in embedded environments.
• Define sensor selection criteria, integration standards, and validation processes for perception systems.
• Drive resolution of complex perception failures through root cause analysis and algorithm refinement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, controls, and systems engineers to ensure perception outputs align with broader autonomy architecture.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 4-7 years of experience developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles or robotics platforms.
• Expert proficiency in C++ (C++11 or newer) with experience building production-grade, multithreaded Linux applications.
• Proven experience with LiDAR point cloud processing, automotive radar processing, image processing, or sensor fusion and object tracking.
• Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS or ROS2) and DDS or publish-subscribe messaging architectures.
