Linux System Engineer (RHEL)

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Linux System Engineer (RHEL) to join their dynamic team. As a Linux System Engineer (RHEL), you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, collaborative spirit, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Linux System Engineer (RHEL)

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $70-$73/hr 

What's the Job?

• Design, build, and test automated RHEL OS provisioning solutions for internal cloud compute environments.
• Enable reliable, scalable on-premises platforms through automation, integration, and continuous testing practices.
• Work hands-on with cloud computing platforms, Windows Server, and Linux systems to deliver automated workflows.
• Validate platform integrations and ensure system reliability using modern automation and testing methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including platform, operations, SRE, and security to deliver scalable automation solutions.

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience with Linux OS provisioning and internals, particularly RHEL.
• Proficiency in platform integration and automation (RHEL).
• 5+ years of experience in platform, systems, or infrastructure engineering with a focus on automation and integration.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering automated RHEL OS provisioning for on-prem or internal cloud environments.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) administration skills, including OS installation, configuration, patching, networking, storage, security, and troubleshooting.
