Data Consultant III

Our client, a leading organization in the data and analytics industry, is seeking a Data Consultant III to join their team. As a Data Consultant III, you will be part of the Data Engineering and Architecture department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Plano, TX

Pay Range: $45-$50/hr 

What's the Job?

• Monitor, assess, and implement emerging technologies for data and analytics, including distributed query engines, graph databases, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Drive migration initiatives from legacy data warehouses to cloud-native Lakehouse platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, ensuring secure and cost-efficient solutions.
• Provide expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, streaming platforms, and event-driven architectures; define reusable data processing patterns.
• Assist in defining multi-year data platform strategies and roadmaps, translating architecture principles into actionable guidance for teams.
• Align solutions with enterprise data governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance standards, embedding responsible AI and lineage standards.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture across cloud or hybrid environments with a focus on modernization and scalability.
• Familiarity with distributed query engines, graph databases, NoSQL, open table formats, and data mesh principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native Lakehouse platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, streaming technologies like Kafka, and BI tools like Tableau or MicroStrategy.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL for data engineering, automation, and AI/ML pipelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working within Agile/SAFe environments.
