Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team supporting vehicle quality assurance and manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)

What's the Job?

• Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the scope entrusted (Quality Assurance Fixtures management).
• Participate in the development of the geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
• Ensure geometric quality convergence during the industrialization phase prior to volume production.
• Report component and assembly quality issues, collaborating with design, conformity, and manufacturing teams to resolve them.
• Conduct analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, define pilots for issues, and facilitate communication to meet KPIs.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or Product Quality.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis, metrology principles, and root cause analysis methods.
• Strong understanding of vehicle design, assembly, tooling, and process control.
