Safety Engineer

Our client, a leader in autonomous machinery and safety engineering, is seeking a Safety Engineer to join their team. As a Safety Engineer, you will be part of the innovative engineering department supporting rapid development and deployment of autonomous systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Safety Engineer

Location: Logan, Utah

Pay Range: $50-$54/hr. on W2

What's the Job?

• Review mechanical, electrical, control, and software designs for safety compliance and lead safety reviews.
• Conduct hazard and risk analyses such as HARA, STPA, FMEA, and FTA on machine systems and control architectures.
• Develop safety requirements and work with engineering teams to ensure traceability and verifiability.
• Perform site assessments at customer locations to evaluate operational environments and safety needs.
• Create and implement site safety plans, including operating boundaries, emergency stop systems, and signage.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least three years of engineering experience involving machine safety in industrial environments.
• Proven ability to perform hazard assessments and develop safety measures for powered equipment.
• Hands-on experience with safety device testing, electrical schematics, and safety documentation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% and work on active industrial sites.
